Sequential Realites from James Burke

The Art House is pleased to present “Sequential Realities”, an exhibition featuring the work of artist James Burke. One of the most influential contemporary arts figures in South Louisiana, Burke is a professor emeritus of the LSU School of Art, where he taught intaglio printmaking for 31 years. Burke is also a founding member of Unit 8 Gallery, which went on to become Baton Rouge Gallery center for contemporary art in 1966. Throughout his career, Burke has won many awards, grants and commendations for his work in printmaking, examples of which are in numerous private and public collections both here in Louisiana and nationally.
