Story and Craft for Preschoolers at Covington Branch Library
Saturday, April 21, 10:30 am – 11:00 am
Ages: 1 – 5

Join us for a celebration of illustration for children with a story and craft featuring the book The Book That Wanted to be Red by Jerica Guillory and illustrated by Hannah Gumbo. Meet the author and illustrator! After Ms. Guillory shares her book, the children will make a craft led by Ms. Gumbo. The program is free but space is limited. Please register. Copies of The Book That Wanted to be Red will be available for purchase. 

Please note that Fruit Loop cereal will be used in the craft.

Join us for a celebration of illustration for children with a story and craft featuring the book A Pig Tale by Jerica Guillory and illustrated by Vivian Broussaard. Meet the author and illustrator! After Ms. Guillory shares her book children will make a craft led by Ms. Broussard. The program is free but space is limited. Please register.  A Pig Tale will be available for purchase and for signing

The Process of Creating Cover Art  

April 21, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Ages 9-14  
$25 fee – includes all supplies  

Pack your favorite art making tools and join illustrator and fellow creative cat, Hannah Gumbo, as she leads this workshop on the process of creating cover art for your latest project. Fee includes all supplies but please feel free to bring your favorite materials and any sketches. Pre-registration with St. Tammany Art Association is required.  




Designing Characters Using Simple Shapes  

April 28, 2018  
Ages 9-12  
$25 fee – includes all supplies  

Join us at St. Tammany Art Association for a hands-on workshop creating various characters using simple shapes, taught by illustrator Shihoh Pate. Pre-registration with St. Tammany Art Association is required.
